LSSTF Donates Gear to NNS BEECROFT for Election Security

On August 11, 2026, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) donated 50 ballistic helmets, 50 bulletproof vests, and 100 raincoats to the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT to strengthen operational capacity and support security efforts in Lagos State ahead of the forthcoming elections. Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, the Executive Secretary of LSSTF, inspected the donation during a courtesy visit to Commodore Aiwuyor Adams Aliu, the Commander of NNS BEECROFT.

Ogunsan emphasized the LSSTF's commitment to supporting recognized security agencies by providing essential equipment to protect lives and property, particularly during sensitive electoral periods. He assured residents that security agencies would be adequately equipped to maintain law and order, especially in potentially volatile areas.

Ogunsan also mentioned previous support from LSSTF, including operational vehicles, and highlighted the government's proactive response to recent security concerns following environmental clean-up exercises. Commodore Aliu acknowledged the donation as a significant boost to the Nigerian Navy's internal security operations in Lagos.
