Navy and Police Enhance Security Alliance for 2027 Elections

On Thursday, the Nigerian Navy and Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration to combat crime and enhance maritime security in Lagos, particularly ahead of the 2027 elections. Rear Admiral Abdullahi Abubakar Mustapha, the flag officer commanding the Western Naval Command, paid a courtesy visit to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Moshood Jimoh at the Zone 2 Command headquarters.

The meeting aimed to reinforce the long-standing partnership between the Nigerian Navy and Nigeria Police Force. They discussed the need to deploy technology to strengthen security across Nigeria's creek waterways, emphasizing that a safe maritime environment is critical for the nation's economic growth and stability.

Rear Admiral Mustapha conveyed appreciation to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abba, and acknowledged the police leadership's dedication to maintaining peace and security across the country. AIG Jimoh commended the Western Naval Command for its sustained efforts to protect Nigeria's maritime domain.
