Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde Announces New Appointments

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has made several appointments, including naming Olabode Ladipo as the Permanent Secretary in the General Administration. The governor also appointed Ifeoluwa Akande as the Chairman of the Samuel Ladok Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee.

Isola Adekunle was designated as the Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, while Oladejo Oladokun was appointed as a part-time member of the Local Government Service Commission. These appointments were confirmed in a letter signed on Tuesday by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi, and will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Governor Makinde congratulated the newly appointed individuals and urged them to discharge their duties with dedication and loyalty. This announcement follows a cabinet reshuffle made by the governor in January 2026, as stated in a release by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
