Governor Makinde Celebrates Promotion of 102 OYRTMA Officers

On September 17, 2026, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde commended the promotion of 102 officers from the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) during a decoration ceremony held at the Local Government Staff Training Hall in Agodi, Ibadan. Represented by the Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Olabode Ladipo, Makinde stated that the promotions reflect the quality service delivery of OYRTMA and its institutional growth.

The officers were promoted across four categories, with 25 advancing from Principal Road Traffic Officer to Assistant Chief Road Traffic Officer (Grade Level 12 to 13), 11 from Principal Road Traffic Superintendent II to Principal Road Traffic Superintendent I (Grade Level 10 to 12), 16 from Road Traffic Superintendent to Principal Road Traffic Superintendent II (Grade Level 9 to 10), and 50 from Road Traffic Officer II to Road Traffic Officer I (Grade Level 8 to 9). Major Adekoya Adesagba (Retd), Executive Chairman of OYRTMA, expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his commitment to staff welfare and highlighted key reforms since his appointment in October 2023.
