Makinde Inaugurates Key Infrastructure in Oyo State

On Thursday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated a 2km road, a newly constructed fire service station, shops, and an ultra-modern trailer park at Bodija International Market in Ibadan. These projects were executed by the Ibadan North Local Government and were described by Makinde as evidence of local councils effectively fulfilling their constitutional roles.

He emphasized that these initiatives would boost commercial activities and strengthen the state’s economy. The governor commended Ibadan North Local Government Chairman Seun Olufade for the successful execution of the projects and urged market traders to support his administration's vision for sustainable development.

Olufade expressed gratitude to Makinde for creating an enabling environment for the projects, which he stated would enhance transportation and public safety. Contractor Adekunle Akinpelu highlighted the fire station's importance in improving emergency response.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal.
