Bisi Ilaka, Ex-Chief of Staff to Governor Makinde, Resigns from PDP in Oyo State

Bisi Ilaka, who previously served as the Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Ilaka's resignation letter, dated February 10, expressed his gratitude to the PDP for providing a platform to serve the state and nation.

Ilaka was appointed as the first Chief of Staff by Governor Makinde in May 2019 and served until 2021 when he was succeeded by Segun Ogunwuyi. Ilaka mentioned in his resignation letter his utmost humility and eternal gratitude for the opportunities afforded by the party.

Additionally, Agboola Ayoola, a former Deputy Chief Whip in the Senate known as "Alleluyah," also resigned from the PDP in October 2025. Ayoola, hailing from Itesiwaju Local Government Area, had a long association with the party, serving in various capacities under former governors Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala.
