Man Arrested for Assaulting Wife After Viral Video Surfaces in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command arrested Fatai Quadri for assaulting his wife, Rukayat Quadri, following a viral video showing the violent incident. The arrest occurred on September 21 after the video surfaced on September 15, depicting Fatai inflicting harm on his wife during a marital dispute.

Preliminary investigations revealed the assault stemmed from allegations of infidelity and property disputes. Rukayat is receiving medical treatment, while Fatai remains in custody pending further investigation and court proceedings.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, emphasized zero tolerance for domestic violence, urging the public to report such cases promptly.
