Manchester United Signs Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa

Manchester United announced the signing of Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for a reported fee of £35 million. The 29-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

Tielemans recently returned from the World Cup, where he captained Belgium to the quarter-finals. He is the third signing for Manchester United in the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of midfielder Andrei Santos and goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

Tielemans joined Aston Villa in 2023 on a free transfer from Leicester City, where he played a key role in winning the FA Cup. His signing comes as Manchester United seeks to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte due to injuries sustained during the World Cup.
