PDP Rep Critiques Politicians for Prioritizing Tinubu

Benedict Etanabene, who represents the Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives, stated that many politicians are more concerned with impressing President Bola Tinubu than serving the Nigerian populace. During an interview on Arise Television on Saturday, Etanabene expressed his concerns regarding the hurried passage of the State Police Bill.

He noted that politicians seek praise from their leaders, often disregarding the implications of their actions. He mentioned that many opposition party members might have supported the executive version of the bill, but emphasized the need for thorough debate on its clauses.

Etanabene highlighted that the bill was passed months prior, and a new version was introduced by the executive just a day before its passage, which led to a rushed review process. He criticized this approach, stating that it undermines proper legislative procedures.
