David Mark Calls for Unity and Peace This Easter

David Mark, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Senate President, urged Nigerians to embrace unity, religious harmony, and peaceful coexistence during the Easter celebrations. In a goodwill message issued in Abuja on Sunday, Mark described the Easter season as a symbol of sacrifice, hope, and triumph over darkness.

He called on citizens to reflect on virtues such as love, selflessness, and forgiveness, as exemplified by Jesus Christ. Mark stressed the need for Nigerians, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political affiliations, to promote mutual respect and national cohesion.

He noted that the country's diversity should be a source of strength rather than division. Furthermore, he appealed for calm and law-abiding behavior among citizens, emphasizing the importance of sustaining peace and stability across the nation.

Mark reassured Nigerians of the ADC's strength and unity despite recent challenges, asserting that the party remains focused on its mission to uphold democratic values and provide purposeful leadership as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
