Marwa Vows Justice for Injured NDLEA Officers in Abuja

On May 15, 2026, Brig Gen Buba Marwa, the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), visited two officers, Ayegh Zachariah and Shehu Ibrahim, who were injured during a mob attack in Abuja. The officers were receiving treatment at a national hospital following injuries sustained during a raid on a suspected drug joint in the Dawaki area.

During his visit on Monday, Marwa expressed sympathy for the officers and assured them of the NDLEA's full support for their welfare and medical attention until they fully recover. He emphasized that the agency would leave no stone unturned to ensure that those responsible for the cowardly attack are arrested and brought to justice.

Marwa commended the bravery and commitment of the officers in their professional duties, noting their sacrifices in the fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking. He also presented an official letter of commendation and a support package to aid their recovery, praising the medical personnel for their prompt care.
