Drug Suspect Jailed for Attacking NDLEA Operatives in Kano

Abba Tijjani Madabo was sentenced to jail by the Federal High Court in Kano, presided over by Justice S. M.

Shuaibu, for attacking operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The incident occurred during an operation on February 14, 2026, at a location described as a notorious drug den in Kano, where Madabo was found in possession of various illicit substances, including diazepam tablets.

During the attempt to evade arrest, he allegedly drew a long knife to attack the NDLEA officers. The court's judgment, which included no option for a fine, was commended by the NDLEA Kano Command, led by Lawal, as it sends a clear message that threats and violence will not deter law enforcement officials from carrying out their duties.
