Zamfara Ex-Governorship Candidate Accuses Minister of State for Defence of Excluding Supporters from APC Registration

In a letter dated January 14 addressed to the APC National Secretariat, Shinkafi, a former governorship candidate in Zamfara State, accuses Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, of orchestrating the exclusion of his supporters from the APC e-registration process. Shinkafi alleges that members of his group, Wamban Shinkafi Democrat Front, spanning 14 local government areas and 147 wards, were deliberately left out of the registration exercise, contrary to the party's constitution.

The e-registration of APC members in Zamfara State reportedly began in 14 local government areas, with some slots allegedly reserved for specific exercises. Shinkafi claims that the exclusion of his supporters goes against Article 9.1 of the party's constitution.
