Etsu Nupe Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet's Virtues

On Tuesday, during a Maulud celebration at Wadata Palace in Bida, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, called on Muslims to emulate the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria. He emphasized that being a Muslim involves not only professing the faith but also demonstrating the fear of Allah and behaving acceptably towards others.

Abubakar urged Muslims to use the Maulud period for prayers aimed at fostering peace and unity, stressing that the occasion should involve reflection and practical emulation of the Prophet's life. He noted that the Prophet preached values essential for peaceful coexistence and national development, particularly in Nigeria's diverse society.

Abubakar encouraged Nigerians to cultivate tolerance and live peacefully, asserting that peace and unity are crucial for national development. He expressed optimism that sustained prayers would help Nigeria overcome its security challenges and called for forgiveness among Muslims, highlighting the importance of prayer in seeking divine guidance.
