Makarfi Urges Justice and Tolerance on Eid-el-Maulud

On Tuesday, during the 1448 Eid-el-Maulud celebration in Kaduna, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, a former Governor of Kaduna State, called on Nigerian leaders to embody the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly justice, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence. In his goodwill message, Makarfi congratulated the Muslim Ummah and humanity, describing the Prophet's birth and mission as pivotal in world history.

He urged that the celebration should prompt reflection on the Prophet's teachings and life. Makarfi emphasized the need for Muslims to engage in "sober reflections" regarding their conduct and relationship with Allah's commandments.

He highlighted the Prophet's leadership in Madina as a model for inclusivity and equity, relevant to Nigeria's diverse society. Makarfi called for strengthened peaceful coexistence and mutual respect across Nigeria's religious, ethnic, and tribal divides, asserting that these principles are vital for the country's development.

He also encouraged Muslims to pray for Nigeria amidst its challenges.
