Enugu Governor Mbah Unveils Monorail and Rail Plans

Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, has unveiled ambitious plans to develop a monorail and intercity rail line as part of a comprehensive strategy to transform the state's transport infrastructure. During a speech after being declared the winner of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary, Mbah emphasized the necessity of these projects to position Enugu as a multi-modal transport hub comparable to great cities worldwide.

He expressed a commitment to ensuring that infrastructural development does not compromise the welfare of the people, stating that the welfare of citizens would remain paramount. Mbah's vision includes creating a world-class city within four years, with significant investments in agriculture, tourism, and real estate.

He acknowledged the skepticism surrounding these ambitious projects but assured the people of Enugu that they would not be mere slogans but tangible realities that would enhance the economic and social lives of residents.
