Alumni Push for Infrastructure Renewal at Methodist College

The Methodist Comprehensive College Old Students Association (MECCOSA), under the leadership of Col. Dele Oyefuga, has launched a campaign to renew infrastructure and reform the admission process at the Methodist Comprehensive College in Sagamu, Ogun State.

During the inauguration of the new MECCOSA executive, Oyefuga emphasized the need to reconcile estranged alumni and mobilize contributions for the development of the school. He expressed concern over the excessive student enrollment, which has led to deteriorating infrastructure and a decline in educational quality.

Oyefuga announced plans for a national secretariat, expected to be completed by the end of the year, to serve as a rallying point for alumni support. He urged the Ogun State Ministry of Education to restore the common entrance examination to control admissions based on merit.

Oyefuga highlighted the urgent need for infrastructural improvements, as current conditions are overwhelming and detrimental to the quality of education provided.
