Badejo-Okusanya Leads NBA Presidential Election Race

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya is currently leading the presidential election for the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), having garnered 11,352 votes, which represents 46.69% of the total votes cast as of 11 PM. The election commenced on July 18, 2026, at 7:35 AM and will remain open until July 19, 2026.

The total number of registered voters stands at 82,164. Other candidates include Lateef Omoyemi Akangb, who has received 7,415 votes (30.50%), and AAR Olumuyiwa Akinboro, with 5,547 votes (22.81%).

The electoral process is being monitored by the electoral committee, led by Aham Ejelam, amid reports of technical failures and cybersecurity threats aimed at disrupting the election. NBA President Afam Osigwe has dismissed allegations of electoral interference and emphasized the independence of the electoral committee.

If elected, Badejo-Okusanya will become the first female president of the NBA.
