NCDMB and Renaissance Launch Oil and Gas Training Program

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited have initiated a 12-month oil and gas training program designed for 300 young Nigerians. This program aims to equip participants with technical professional skills essential for careers in the petroleum industry.

It targets graduates in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering, comprising three months of classroom instruction followed by nine months of job training in partnership with oil and gas service companies. According to a statement from Dr.

Obinna Ezeobi, the General Manager of Corporate Communications, 300 participants were selected through a competitive process, with 240 training in Lagos and 60 in Port Harcourt. The program was inaugurated by Felix Ogb, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, who emphasized its alignment with the board's mandate to build local capacity and create employment opportunities in the oil and gas sector.

The training aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and workplace expectations, preparing participants to contribute effectively to the industry.
