Cleric Praises Military Expansion for Enhanced Security

Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, the Founder of The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries Worldwide and Iya Aladura General, commended President Bola Tinubu for his decision to expand the Nigerian Armed Forces.

This expansion, approved in July 2026, includes the recruitment of 28,000 additional soldiers and an increase in the Nigerian Army’s divisions from eight to twelve. Yomi-Sholoye stated that these measures would improve responses to security threats and enhance the protection of churches, schools, and other vulnerable locations across Nigeria.

During a press conference in Lagos, she emphasized the importance of national security and the need for collective responsibility among citizens. Yomi-Sholoye urged Nigerians to engage in lawful conduct, obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, and reject vote-buying ahead of future elections.

She expressed confidence that Nigeria would experience peace and restoration, while also announcing the eighth edition of the Night of Divine Experience, themed “Supernatural Breakthrough,” scheduled for August 12 to 14 at The New Seraph Prayer City in Ogun State.
