Minister Idri Calls for Enhanced Efficiency in Civil Service

During the Civil Service Week celebration in Abuja, Minister of Information and Orientation Mohan Idri described civil servants as indispensable partners in Nigeria's development. He urged them to remain committed to their profession and enhance their efficiency in service delivery.

Idri commended public servants for their dedication and emphasized the strategic role of the ministry in promoting national unity and development. He noted that despite bureaucratic delays and procurement challenges, the ministry is determined to complete the renovation of its headquarters, which has been approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Idri highlighted the positive results of the economic reforms initiated by Tinubu's administration, including improvements in foreign reserves and infrastructure development. He also discussed ongoing measures to improve the welfare of service personnel.

Dr. Binyerem Ukair, the permanent secretary of the ministry, praised the contributions of civil servants and urged them to uphold the core values of the federal civil service.

Awards were presented to deserving staff, boosting morale across the ministry.
