Miyetti Allah Leader Arraigned for Terror Financing

Bello Bodejo, the leader of Miyetti Allah, was arraigned on Thursday at the Federal High Court in Abuja, facing allegations of financing terrorism and money laundering. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought the case against him, involving a total of $2.63 million.

The charges were filed on June 25, and during the court proceedings, EFCC counsel Wahab Shittu, SAN, represented the prosecution. Bodejo's defense counsel, Ahm Raji, SAN, did not oppose the application to read the charges.

When the charges were presented, Bodejo pleaded not guilty to all 12 counts. The case was presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo, who was informed by Shittu that the matter was scheduled for further proceedings.
