Monarch Donates ₦5m Medical Supplies to Delta Hospital

On Tuesday, Michael Ogheneovo Orugbo, the monarch of Udu Kingdom, pledged ₦5 million worth of medical supplies to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) located in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State. This donation is intended to support the hospital's operations as patient demand for healthcare services continues to rise.

During his visit, he met with the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Kingslei Akaba, along with the hospital's management team and staff.

The monarch emphasized the importance of providing essential supplies to enhance patient care and alleviate the operational pressures faced by the FMC. He commended the hospital management for maintaining services under challenging conditions and urged staff to remain dedicated despite constraints.

The FMC is set to commence full operations in January 2026 and currently attends to approximately 1,000 patients monthly, reflecting a growing reliance on the facility. Prof.
