INEC Reports Increased PVC Collection in Kano State
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano State has observed a significant increase in the number of residents collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the state's 44 local government areas. Nahila Bello Dandago, the Public Relations Officer of INEC in Kano, reported that both newly issued PVCs and previously uncollected cards are being collected by eligible voters.
In the first batch, the commission deployed 171,000 PVCs for distribution. Dandago noted that there has been an impressive turnout, with many individuals coming to collect their old cards as well.
The PVCs have been made available at INEC offices throughout all local government areas to facilitate access for eligible voters. Dandago urged those who have yet to collect their cards to visit the designated INEC offices.
This collection exercise is part of INEC's efforts to ensure that eligible voters obtain their PVCs in preparation for the forthcoming elections.
