Motorbike Operators Endorse Abejide for Second Term

Motorbike operators in Kogi State, represented by the Motorcycle Operators Union Nigeria, Mopamuro Branch, endorsed Rt. Hon.

Leke Abejide for a second term in the House of Representatives. They expressed appreciation for his initiative to fully fund the procurement of security jackets for commercial motorcyclists across the Yagba Federal Constituency.

A letter of appreciation was signed by Comrade Anjorin Emmanuel Taiwo, the Secretary-General of the association, on July 18, 2026. The union described Abejide's intervention as a demonstration of his commitment to the welfare and safety of the constituents.

The initiative is aligned with the Kogi State government's security measures aimed at curbing criminal activities by individuals disguising themselves as commercial motorcyclists. The jackets will enhance rider identification and improve accountability, enabling passengers to easily identify genuine operators.

The lawmaker is covering the entire cost of the project, which the association described as a significant financial relief and a major boost to public confidence in the commercial motorcycle transport sector.
