Yagba APC Leaders Support Abejide for 2027 Elections

Leaders of the Yagba chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rallied in support of Rt. Hon.

Leke Abejide's candidacy for the 2027 House of Representatives elections. They declared his emergence as the party's candidate a reflection of the genuine will of its members, following the party's primaries.

A joint statement signed by notable figures, including Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Chairman of Yagba West Local Government, and Tosin Olokun, Chairman of Yagba East Local Government, emphasized that no attempts were made to extend the tenure of any lawmaker, countering recent criticisms. The leaders maintained that Abejide's candidacy was the result of a transparent democratic process, asserting that he earned popular support across the Yagba federal constituency.

They condemned attempts to invalidate the primary election results, urging party members to respect the verdict delivered by the electorate.
