MultiChoice Talent Factory Launches Masterclasses in Nigeria

MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) is celebrating eight years of investment in Nigeria's creative industry by launching a series of 13 regional masterclasses aimed at film and television practitioners. These masterclasses, conducted in partnership with various film festivals and industry organizations, are designed to equip practitioners with practical knowledge about current industry developments.

The first masterclass, the International Sales and Distribution Executive (ISDE) Masterclass, took place on 24 August 2026, in collaboration with the Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS). The theme was ‘From Script to Market: The Future of Cinema in Africa’, featuring industry professionals such as Kene Mkparu, Funmi Onuma, and Ijeoma Onah.

Discussions focused on the business aspects of film distribution. The second session, the Africa Microdrama Summit, occurred on 26 August 2026, addressing the rise of short-form scripted content and audience consumption habits, with speakers including Atinuke Babatunde and Ifeoma Oma Areh.
