MURIC Hails NSA, DSS for Arrest of Al-Ansaru Terrorist Leaders

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has praised the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the Department of State Services (DSS) for the arrest of two leaders of the Al-Ansaru terrorist group in Nigeria. The leaders, Mahmuda and Muhammad Usman Amir Ansari, were apprehended after a year of operating in the country.

MURIC's Executive Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, commended the NSA for his efforts in replicating the success of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in combating terrorism. The organization also lauded the DSS for its effective containment of security threats under the leadership of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi.

MURIC emphasized the importance of equipping and supporting security agencies to ensure the safety of the nation, condemning terrorism and violence in all forms. The organization reiterated its stance that terrorists do not represent Muslims and called for dialogue over violence.
