Hanan Buhari Honored as Notable Peace Icon in Morocco

Hanan Buhari, the daughter of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, spoke about the importance of integrity, resilience, and selfless service during an event in Marrakech, Morocco, where she received recognition as one of the 100 notable peace icons in Africa. This acknowledgment was part of the Notable African Leadership Business Summit, organized by the Davdan Peace Advocacy Foundation.

Hanan dedicated the honor to her late father, Muhammadu Buhari, acknowledging his guidance and unwavering belief that shaped her life. She expressed that her father instilled in her the values of integrity and resilience, which gave her the courage to believe in herself.

Hanan Buhari was congratulated by Kingslei Amafibi, the project director of the summit, who described her as a role model committed to advancing women and inspiring a new generation of African leaders. The summit aimed to celebrate individuals making significant contributions to leadership, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across Africa.
