Entrepreneur Shares Journey of Supporting Husband's Job Loss

Bunmi Georg, a Nigerian entrepreneur known as Jbum, revealed in a podcast hosted by If Agoro that her husband worked for her for 11 months after he lost his job as a pilot. During this time, they made significant adjustments to their finances, including reducing household expenses and the number of domestic staff to sustain their family on a single income.

Georg recounted that her husband took proactive steps to help the family adapt, such as reviewing their finances and proposing cost-cutting measures. He later joined a company called Shredder Gang, where he worked alongside employees and earned a salary.

Georg described her husband’s decision to take on these responsibilities as an act of humility and leadership, emphasizing that he did not merely rely on her income. Throughout this period, he remained active in household chores and planning for future challenges, which brought the couple closer together.

Georg expressed gratitude for the experience, stating she would not change it despite the difficulties faced.
