Pa James Discusses Trademark Impact on Acting Career

Kehinde Olasehinde, known as Pa James, shared his experiences as a veteran actor during an interview. He highlighted that his character's name has been trademarked, which restricts him from acting under that name outside the "Papa Ajasco" series.

This series, produced by Wale Adenuga, has been a significant part of Nigerian television since the 1990s and features Pa James as a familiar character. Olasehinde noted that while he initially earned a small fee per episode, his earnings increased over time.

However, he expressed concerns about the limited number of episodes produced each year, which makes it challenging to rely solely on this series for a steady income. He mentioned that there have been long breaks in production, sometimes lasting up to two years, which affects his financial stability.

Despite these challenges, he remains committed to the show and its legacy in Nigerian comedy.
