NAF Assesses C-130H Maintenance, Ensures Safety Standards

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the leadership of Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, conducted an assessment of the maintenance of its C-130H aircraft at a depot in Portugal. This assessment is part of a high-level delegation's visit to ensure that the aircraft meets the highest standards of safety and operational readiness.

The delegation included Air Vice Marshal Olufemi Samson Ogunsina and Air Commodore Eric Kpokpogri, among others. The visit involved strategic discussions with Ogma Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, focusing on the progress of the maintenance program and measures to optimize timelines for the aircraft's return to service.

The NAF emphasized its commitment to maintaining a proactive approach to aircraft maintenance, ensuring adherence to global best practices. Despite encountering unforeseen transit challenges, the NAF remains dedicated to the safe arrival and comprehensive inspection of its aircraft, underscoring the importance of the C-130H platform for national and regional airlift operations.
