NAFDAC Warns Against Three Unsafe Supplements in Nigeria

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has intensified its post-marketing surveillance to prevent unsafe health products from reaching Nigerian consumers. The agency issued public alerts against three supplements: MR.7 SUPER 700000 Capsules, WAP Sensual Enhancement Capsules, and Menofix Composition.

MR.7 SUPER 700000 Capsules, marketed as a male enhancement product, was found by the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) to contain undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil, which are prescription medications for erectile dysfunction. NAFDAC advised consumers to stop using this product immediately.

WAP Sensual Enhancement Capsules also contained undeclared sildenafil, tadalafil, and flibanserin, posing risks such as dangerously low blood pressure and excessive drowsiness. Consumers were advised to discontinue use and return the product to NAFDAC.

Menofix Composition is unregistered with NAFDAC and has raised concerns over possible liver-related side effects. NAFDAC has directed its teams to remove these products from circulation.
