Randy Peter and Mama Pee Return to EFCC for Probe

Randy Peter and Mama Pee returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday to continue investigations into allegations of naira abuse against them. Their lawyer, Inibeh Effiong, disclosed this information in a statement on Thursday, confirming that both activists were released on Wednesday after cooperating with the investigation.

The EFCC had initially invited them to appear on July 6, but the meeting was rescheduled due to their unavailability. Effiong's team arrived at the EFCC headquarters on Wednesday, where the activists underwent lengthy professional interrogation before being released.

Despite the ordeal, Peter and Mama Pee were reported to be in good spirits and appreciated the public's concern for their safety. They promised to provide further details on the investigation's progress.

The situation had triggered speculation on social media regarding their arrest, but it was later confirmed that they were freed around midnight after 11 hours at the EFCC's Abuja headquarters.
