NAMA Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Scams

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) issued a statement on Tuesday denying reports of an ongoing recruitment exercise and alerting the public to fraudulent job offers being circulated in its name. Dr Abdullahi Musa, NAMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, stated that fraudsters are impersonating the agency to deceive job seekers.

NAMA described these fraudulent recruitment schemes as concerning, aimed at exploiting innocent individuals and damaging the agency's reputation. The agency clarified that it is not conducting any recruitment at this time and advised the public against making payments, submitting personal information, or engaging with anyone claiming to offer jobs on its behalf.

NAMA urged job seekers to verify recruitment notices through its official communication channels and to disregard unofficial correspondence, particularly from unauthorized intermediaries. The agency reiterated that it does not authorize any individual or third party to collect money or benefits for employment and encouraged reporting of such fraudulent activities to the appropriate authorities.
