FAAN Disowns Fake Recruitment Offers, Warns Public

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) issued a statement on Thursday, disowning reports of an ongoing recruitment exercise and warning the public against scammers circulating fraudulent employment offers in its name. The agency highlighted that these scams included a fake letter dated August 18, 2026, featuring a logo similar to FAAN’s official branding.

FAAN clarified that it is not currently conducting any recruitment and distanced itself from the unauthorized letters and offers. The agency advised the public not to make payments or provide personal information to individuals behind these fraudulent offers.

FAAN urged Nigerians to verify any recruitment-related information through its official communication channels. This warning follows similar alerts from the Federal Civil Service Commission regarding fake recruitment messages circulating on social media and unofficial websites.

The commission reiterated that legitimate federal civil service recruitment does not involve private agents or individuals claiming influence over the selection process.
