Nasarawa Executes Projects Without Loans, Thanks to Tinubu

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule announced that the state can now execute significant infrastructure projects without borrowing from banks, thanks to increased federal allocations driven by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms. During a media tour on Saturday, Sule explained that the removal of the fuel subsidy and other reforms have boosted the state's revenue, with monthly allocations increasing from between N3.8 billion and N4.5 billion to an average of N14 billion to N16 billion.

He credited President Tinubu for this financial improvement, stating that the state has moved from struggling to raise N5 billion for a single project to executing infrastructure projects worth approximately N90 billion without loans. Projects highlighted include the Akwanga Township Road dualisation, Shendam Road, and the Keffi Flyover.

Sule also emphasized the administration's investments in skills development, healthcare, agriculture, and mining, including the establishment of a skills acquisition centre for vocational training.
