Nasarawa State Revenue Surges to ₦16bn Monthly Under Sule

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has received commendation from public commentator S.

A. Sani Ahmad Zangina for his transparent leadership, particularly following the disclosure of the state's revenue figures.

Before the removal of the fuel subsidy, Nasarawa State's revenue ranged from ₦3.8 billion to ₦4.5 billion monthly. This figure has now increased to between ₦14 billion and ₦16 billion.

Governor Sule indicated that these funds are being utilized for development projects without incurring new debt, with infrastructure spending prioritized. Current projects exceed ₦90 billion, focusing on road construction to enhance rural connectivity and access to Lafia, the state capital.

A significant initiative is the planned ₦30 billion Cassava Industrial City in Kokona, aimed at boosting local farmers' incomes. The state has also established four rice processing mills and one cassava processing center.

Additionally, the new Nasarawa State Secretariat consolidates 11 ministries and operates on a one-megawatt solar power plant.
