National Assembly Reschedules Plenary to March 5, 2026

The National Assembly of Nigeria has officially shifted the date for its plenary resumption from February 24, 2026, to March 5, 2026. This decision was communicated by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, late on Monday night.

The postponement is necessary to allow various committees to conclude their ongoing budget defense sessions. The plenary session will reconvene in the chamber at 11:00 AM on March 5, 2026.

The budget defense sessions are critical as they pertain to the N58.47 trillion appropriations bill that was presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in December 2025. The National Assembly has requested that all distinguished Senate members take note of the new date and time for the resumption.
