National Assembly to Host National Security Roundtable

The National Assembly of Nigeria has announced its third open week, scheduled for July 14-16, 2026. This initiative, part of the 10th Assembly's commitment to transparency and inclusivity, aims to reflect on the journey of building a legislative framework accessible and accountable to all Nigerians.

Speaker Abbas Tajudeen and House of Representatives member Musa Abdullahi Krishi made the announcement via social media. The theme for this year's open week emphasizes advancing reforms and strengthening democracy.

The event will include a legislative business breakfast to foster collaboration between the legislature and the private sector, focusing on policy drives for economic growth and job creation. Additionally, a national security roundtable will convene critical stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop legislative pathways to address Nigeria's evolving security challenges.
