NCC Leases Digital Park to Enugu for Economic Growth

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Enugu State Government finalized a strategic 15-year lease agreement for the NCC's Digital Industrial Park and Learning Centre, located in Enugu. This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s digital economy agenda and aims to transform the facilities into the Enugu Talent City and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institute.

Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NCC, stated that this partnership supports Enugu's ambition to become a hub for digital services, AI, and entrepreneurship.

He emphasized that the facilities are designed to foster innovation, skills acquisition, and job creation, positioning Nigeria competitively in technology-enabled services. Maida also praised Governor Peter Mbah's efforts in investing in education and infrastructure, particularly through the Smart Green Schools initiative, which aims to prepare future generations for a technology-driven economy.
