NCDMB Empowers 250 Youths with Solar and Vocational Skills Training in Lagos

The Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) collaborates with Jake Riley Academy to empower 250 youths in Lagos with training in solar installation and high-demand vocational skills. The initiative aims to promote self-reliance and job creation among the beneficiaries.

Graduates of the program, part of the NCDMB Lagos Youth Skill Training Program, are equipped with practical income-generating skills relevant to the country's evolving labor market. The training covers solar installation, electrical fittings, vocational skills like fashion design, and digital skills.

During the graduation ceremony, participants receive starter packs aligned with their training areas to immediately begin their chosen trades. Funmi Ogbu, the Chief Executive Officer of Jake Riley Limited, emphasizes the importance of discipline, integration, and technical skills, along with attitude, work ethic, and commitment for long-term success in the marketplace.
