NCDMB and Renaissance Train 300 Nigerians in Oil Sector

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in collaboration with Renaissance Africa Energy Company has initiated a training program aimed at equipping 300 Nigerians with relevant skills for the oil and gas industry. The program will span 12 months, comprising three months of classroom-based learning followed by nine months of on-the-job training.

Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, the General Manager of Corporate Communications at NCDMB, announced that 240 trainees will participate from Lagos and 60 from Port Harcourt.

The program aligns with NCDMB's mandate to build local capacity and enhance Nigerian participation in the oil and gas sector, ultimately supporting economic growth. Trainees will gain practical industry exposure and receive globally recognized certification.

Mr. Tari Bufazi, the NCDMB boss, emphasized the importance of specialized skills in automation, instrumentation, and engineering operations for the safe and efficient exploitation of Nigeria's petroleum resources.

The program aims to develop industry-ready professionals capable of contributing immediately to operational environments.
