NCDMB Trains 120 Bayelsa Youths in Oil and Gas Logistics

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) concluded a two-week training program for 120 youths and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bayelsa State, focusing on oil and gas logistics. The program, implemented by Tenacl Resource Limited, aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to comply with industry standards and engage effectively in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.

The training included an online orientation phase followed by practical sessions in Yenagoa. Mr.

Tony Brigg, Executive Director of Tenacl Resource Limited, emphasized the importance of empowering indigenous businesses in oil-producing communities. Participants were encouraged to maximize the opportunities provided by the training, which included mentorship, laptops, and support for compliance documentation.

The program also featured a business competition, with three outstanding businesses receiving additional support. Mr.

Felix Ogb, Executive Secretary of NCDMB, and Mr. Edmund Dagogo from the Bayelsa State Ministry of Labour and Employment, commended the initiative's potential to enhance local participation in the petroleum industry.
