NCDMB Launches Certification for Oil and Gas Trainers

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is set to commence the issuance of the Nigerian Content Trainer Registration Certification (NCTRC) as part of its commitment to strengthening local competencies and promoting professional standards within the oil and gas industry. This announcement was made during a sensitization workshop held with members of the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) in Lagos.

Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogb, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, emphasized the need for a clear framework for trainer certification to ensure qualified professionals develop the workforce in the industry.

The certification program will cover 11 areas of specialization, including technical and soft skills relevant to the industry. Engr.

Abayomi Bamidel cautioned applicants against engaging intermediaries to fast-track the certification process, stressing that the registration process is free of charge. The initiative aims to significantly enhance the quality of the local content workforce and meet the evolving needs of the industry.
