NDA to Conduct Cadet Exercise with Explosive Blasts

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced an inter-company obstacle crossing competition for Short Service Cadets, set to take place on Saturday at its Afaka facility in Kaduna. The announcement was made by the Academy's Public Relations Officer, Maj.

Reuben Kovangiya, in a statement issued on Friday. The exercise is part of the Academy's routine training activities and will occur between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.

It is designed to test the cadets’ abilities to navigate obstacles in combat situations and will involve the use of explosive blasts. Residents of nearby areas, including Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka, have been advised not to panic during the exercise.

Maj. Kovangiya assured the public that all necessary safety measures are in place to ensure a smooth operation and requested the cooperation of the public and media in disseminating this information.
