Nigerian Army Warns Public of NADCEL 2026 Fundraising Scam

The Nigerian Army has raised an alarm over a fraudulent fundraising scheme related to the NADCEL 2026 event, scheduled to take place from July 1 to July 6, 2026. Colonel Appolonia Anel, the Director of Army Public Relations, disclosed this information in a statement on Wednesday.

She warned the public against responding to requests for funds, sponsorships, or donations that are not officially authorized by the Nigerian Army. The Army emphasized that any such requests are fraudulent and should be treated as criminal acts.

Colonel Anel urged individuals, corporate bodies, financial institutions, and government agencies to verify any requests purportedly made on behalf of the Nigerian Army. She also stated that anyone found impersonating the Army or engaging in fraudulent solicitations would be tracked, arrested, and prosecuted according to the law.

The Nigerian Army is collaborating with its Cyber Warfare Command and military police to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the scam.
