NDC's Atedo Peterside Calls for Judicial Accountability

Atedo Peterside, an investment banker and economist, spoke on the need to address 'judicial rascality' in Nigeria, particularly in light of recent judgments that he described as 'obnoxious.' He referenced a ruling from the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja, which he urged should be set aside. Peterside called for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to take disciplinary action against judges who deliver such judgments and to appeal against them.

He emphasized that the appeal court should encourage judges to deliver fair and just rulings rather than succumbing to pressures that lead to 'obnoxious judgments.' The NDC has vowed to challenge the ruling and continue to advocate for judicial integrity and accountability in Nigeria.
