New Book Analyzes Buratai's Military Leadership Reforms

Dr. Moham Abubakar's new book, titled "Military Transform Leadership Action: Buratai Era," analyzes the leadership reforms implemented by Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, who served as Chief of Army Staff from 2015 to 2021.

The book, published by Sprezzatura Publish Ltd, addresses the widespread security challenges in Nigeria, including insurgency and banditry. Abubakar's examination focuses on three key areas: adapting military doctrine, reforming training and logistics, and enhancing command structures to confront asymmetric threats posed by groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP.

The author argues that the lessons learned during Buratai's leadership extend beyond the battlefield and provide insights for building and sustaining public trust in military institutions. The book will be formally presented on September 16, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, during an academic discourse featuring retired senior military officers and professors who will critically assess its findings.
