Delta CP Samuel Erale Vows to Combat Crime Effectively

CP Samuel Erale has officially taken office as the 25th Commissioner of Police in Delta State, assuming his role on Tuesday during an inaugural press briefing in Asaba. He has pledged to implement intelligence-led policing and strengthen community partnerships to address various crimes, including kidnapping, cultism, armed robbery, cybercrime, and oil-related offences.

Erale emphasized that the protection of lives and property would be the command's top priority. He outlined five key focus areas for his administration: discipline, community policing, cooperation with other security agencies, crime fighting, and rebuilding public confidence.

He promised strict adherence to police regulations and a zero-tolerance policy for corruption. Erale also plans to enhance collaboration with traditional rulers and community leaders, urging residents to provide timely information on suspicious activities.

He aims to increase police visibility and responsiveness, transitioning from reactive to proactive policing driven by intelligence.
